August 2018
A word from the BAA principal: Laura Hoffman
Calling for total member re-enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year. Yes, even adults! "I thought I was done with my education!" you may react! The answer is "no" and your desk is waiting for you! Perhaps you have even passed by this school and did not known it existed! The school has a different name than BAA. It is called "The School of Christ." I stopped by to have a look at this school, to learn about enrollment and class organization, to check out the curriculum, to ask about the evaluation methods, to see if I could afford the tuition costs, and of course to meet the teacher. This is what I discovered!
I was surprised that children are seated right alongside of the adults. Some children were even advancing faster, regardless of their past history, their IQ or their abilities! I marveled at that and thought of a small priest named Samuel, a lad named David and beauty named Esther.
I learned that this school is very different from others in that students never graduate. In fact, all the lessons are about duty and happiness which will fit the students for their highest potential usefulness and service. There is a unique mentorship opportunity available where the students can partner with the teacher in a program called Co-labor with Christ. It is the teacher's chosen method of working on this earth!
How are the students are evaluated and what are the standards? Amazingly, the whole goal is heaven and becoming fit to live there. The motto is "Come Up Higher" and the students are asked to let the teacher train them how to be pure and holy. The teacher does this by instructing them from a book that is the most ancient, comprehensive history of the earth. It is a POWERFUL source text which has been divinely preserved over time and will actually light up and shine on any topic the students choose to study! It is amazing!
I was timid to ask about the rates but I never should have been. I found out there is complete financial assistance available because all the tuition was prepaid some time ago at a place called Golgotha. The only cost the student has to cover, to demonstrate that they want to stay enrolled, is the cost of effort, some occasional tears and even some agony! But I was assured that none of this is of any concern when compared to the eternal outcome!
As a benefit to enrollment I learned that the school offers a LinkedIn service to the Infinte One, wireless connection to the Divine Nature and guaranteed employment in an agency called For His Glory!
At that point, I was hooked. I asked to meet the teacher. I found to my delight that He is the greatest teacher the world has ever seen. I couldn't believe He was offering to be a mentor to me, especially after seeing His list of qualifications, such as Creator, author of the curriculum, Savior of mankind (just to mention few!). He told me that He'd like to have everyone in Charleston enrolled in The School of Christ and He asked me if I'd let them know. I said, "Sure!"
Can you help me spread the word?
BAA starts August 15 and it's going to be a great year. Please cover it in prayer and help as you can. (See page 2 for our BAA Wish List)
