New Beginnings, New Classroom Theme September/October 2017

"Ahoy Mateys! On August 14th, 2017 we board ship U.S.S. BAA. We set sail at 8:30am and return to port at 3:00pm. Please pray for our captain and crew as we invite Jesus to be our Anchor this school year!"
With this announcement, BAA began a new year of learning adventures! Our 8 students participated in “Get To Know You” activities, a STEM challenge and role-playing our rules and procedures. A big WELCOME to our newest students: Bella, Bilaze, Sosiah and Trystan! The students are enjoying the new classroom with a nautical theme. The extra space is a blessing! Also, a HUGE THANK- YOU to those who have donated school supplies; they are being put to good use. Here aboard ship U.S.S. BAA we are learning new information each new day while praying to stay anchored in Jesus. During Bible class we are studying Steps to Christ(Children’s Versions); every morning we learn another step to help us follow Jesus. Students are also working on building their independent reading and writing stamina along with learning strategies to help them read and write independently. On our ship we are building our teamwork skills, learning how to get along, not bully, and be peacemakers. Please continue to pray for us as we continue our learning adventures. When you see a BAA student, feel free to ask them to recite any memory verse they have learned so far, how Jesus is their anchor, and/or what does 'All' detergent have to do with Jesus.     By: Ashley Johnson, Principal/Teacher
