What Is Your Favorite Bible Story? November 2017
Recently I asked the students to share with the class one of their favorite Bible stories and what that story tells them about God and/or the lesson they learned from the story. I would like to share a few of their responses with you.
Bella- Her favorite Bible story is Baby Moses. The lesson she learned from the story is that you should never take something that doesn’t belong to you.
Jessica- Her favorite Bible story is Baby Jesus. The lesson she learned is that He came to earth as a baby because he loves her.
Both Jessica and Bella (First Grade) also love the story of Daniel in the Lion’s Den because it teaches them to pray and be brave.
Queen shared three stories with us. She loves the stories of Noah, Joshua and Samson. For her those stories have taught her about trusting and listening to God.
Trystan’s favorite story is the Creation story because it reminds him of how God created a place for him to live.
Samajay’s favorite story is Joseph. The lesson Samajay has learned from the story of Joseph is how Joseph was put in charge because he was faithful.
The Bible has so many fascinating stories and lessons for us to learn! I encourage you this month to think about your favorite Bible story and the lessons you can learn from reading/studying them.
When the students were sharing their favorite Bible stories with me they were so excited! The sharing just kept going around and around… Isn’t that how it should be? We should be so excited to share about God and His Word that we can’t stop, or even want to stop! by Ashley Johnson
